Due to results of survey carried out by National Statistics Office of Georgia 211 economic facilities occupied by organizing markets and fairs were functioning in Georgia in 2016, 29,4% of which are placed in Tbilisi, 21,8% – in Imereti, 12,3 % – in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region, 11,4% – in Kakheti region, 8,1% – in Kvemo Kartli, 5,2% – in Adjara, 4,3% – in Shida Kartli, 2,8% – in Samtskhe-Javakheti, 1,9% – in Guria, 1,9% – in Mtskheta-Mtianeti and 0,9% – in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti regions.
